This rose has the brightest crimson coloring of all the English roses; standing out when viewed from across the garden. The blooms open wide and are slightly cupped. They are produced freely and flower with remarkable continuity. It forms a medium sized, bushy shrub which looks particularly beautiful when grown in a mixed border. There is light scent until the flower ages, when it develops a charming old rose fragrance. Bred in 1988.

It took a couple years for this rose to develop full, beautiful blooms in our Colorado garden but I love it. It truly stands out when in bloom. These photos were taken from our garden with an iPhone.

Ships in a 1 gallon pot with well established roots. Own root. All our roses are within their first year. Please consider this when purchasing. If you live in a cold zone, spring planting is best and fall planting is not advised. This advice is based on our experience here in zone 5b.
