A beautiful English rose with blooms that start out with deep, rich crimson, changing with age to a magnificent royal purple. The old fashioned rosettes emit a strong old rose fragrance. The plant has great repeat bloom throughout the growing season. This variety is a much smaller, more tidy plant than its pollen parent, The Squire. Bred in 1990.
