Description 🥀
A striking German rose with true copper blooms that flower in abundance all season. Morgenröte means 'dawn' in German, describing perfectly the colors of the petals that shift from copper-orange to pink with a yellow reverse. Blooms carry a moderate, spicy fragrance. The plant can grow to be a large, free standing shrub or a small climber in warm zones. Bred in 1988.
Our experience 🌱
I took cuttings of this rose from a friend here in Colorado who grows hundreds of roses. She described her 25+ year old plant to be one of her most healthy and floriferous roses she grows. I saw it blooming last summer and the copper blooms were shimmering in the sunlight. Super excited to have it in our garden. We borrowed these photos until we can get some good ones of our own
